CrossFit AZO is a genuine box (gym) committed to giving you the WOD (Workout of the Day), instruction, and atmosphere you would expect from any CrossFit affiliate! From the minute you walk in, we want you to know you are part of something GREAT!

If you are new to CrossFit we encourage you to take a look around and research a bit. The CrossFit main site has a great description of our philosophy and training. CrossFit is inclusive, and infinitely scalable, meaning anyone can do it. Anyone! We are dedicated to taking you to your next level of fitness, no matter where you start from. We have different programs for you, depending on your background, to help assist you in becoming the best CrossFit athlete you can be! CrossFit AZO promotes mastery of safety and technique prior to increasing intensity and load. We also know how important it is to have proper coaching so we are dedicated to making sure you are getting quality!

 WHAT IS CROSSFIT?
10 PHYSICAL SKILLS WE TRAIN
  1. Cardiovascular Endurance – The ability of the body systems to gather, process, and transport oxygen.

  2. Stamina – The ability of the body to process, store, deliver, and utilize energy.

  3. Strength – The ability of a muscular unit, or combo of muscular units, to apply force.

  4. Flexibility – The ability of maximizing range of motion at a given joint.

  5. Power – The ability of a muscular unit, or combo of muscular units, to apply maximum force in minimum time.

  6. Speed – The ability to minimize the time cycle of a repeated movement.

  7. Coordination – The ability to combine several distinct movement patterns into a singular distinct movement.

  8. Agility – The ability to minimize transition time between one movement pattern to another.

  9. Accuracy – The ability to control movement in a given direction or at a given intensity.

  10. Balance – The ability to control the placement of the body’s center of gravity in relation to its support base.
