CrossFit is competitive in nature, with constantly varied exercises done at high intensities. Coach Glassman states on the "What is CrossFit?" page (one of our tabs) that "our specialty is not specializing." Combat, survival, many sports, and life reward this kind of fitness and, on average, punish the specialist.

CrossFit takes the athlete and makes them a stronger, more prepared, and better well-rounded competitor. The CrossFit Games is where our athletes prove their fitness. These are the athletes that have made CrossFit their choice of sport. Within CrossFit, there are specialties that help our "single sport" athletes. These athletes maintain and elevate their fitness by using CrossFit as a part of their strength and conditioning portion of their training. The difference is how they incorporate their sport into the programming to prepare them for competition. We at AZO would be happy to help any single sport athletes, current CrossFitters or not, work the CrossFit principles into their regimen. Two examples of this are:

CrossFit Endurance is for the endurance or multi-sport (triathlon) athlete, and CrossFit Football is specific to football, but can also be used with any power based sport. Check out what they may have to offer you.

Personal Training

We do offer 1-on-1 personal training with an emphasis on the CrossFit methodology. We would be happy to assist you if you are more comfortable with this type of coaching, as opposed to group classes.
